Like it or not what you are wearing right now tells me who you are in this momment of time. Me? Well its June 29th, 2013 and I am in bed wearing my black nike running shorts and an over sized black tshirt with graffiti advertisement on it. What does that tell you? Well my raggy old shirt from the thrift store indicates that I like vandalism. I like chaos and disorder and I love the rebels who cause it. My shorts scream athlete but by my scenery they also scream comfortable. I think its a pretty straight forward analysis that in the event of writing my thoughts on my very first blog I am too preocuppied by my ideas to dress myself in them. But does my outfit tell you who I am tomorrow? Does my outfit tell you who I was last week? No. My outfit is a blank slate that only refers to now. Just like yours. In this world we are all strangers judging through the glasses of perception. I am not who you think I am and you are not what others see you to be. To the contrary we all may not be who we think we are. Scary? Not really. Its a gift actually. We have the power to speed up our own personal evolution in the matter of seconds. May that be changing that dainty velvet cotton blend circle skirt into leather pants, or taking out that pony tie and lathering you hair in products to give it that extra sass. You have the power to make me believe whatever you want me to believe, even better you can make yourself believe it too. Because in the end I dont dress for men or for competition. I dress to my likings because my outfit is my uniform. It is a wearable symbol of the history of human kind and no thoughts and harsh judgements of others can replace the hundreds of years of hard earned independance to be who I want to be in this very momment
